College Football Picks: Week 10

Welcome back to Saturday college football! It's hard to believe we have already reached week 10. We are coming off a 3-3 weekend that was slightly profitable with our 3-leg moneyline parlay hitting at +184. On the season, we are now 22-15, including Thursday night's no sweat winner, as UTSA and FAU combined for 89 points, sailing over the expected total. Today, we have several high profile games, including a whopping seven Top 25 matchups! Even with all of the action though, I only have four official plays today, as many of the lines seem very sharp. On to the Saturday picks:

Merrimack at Wake Forest: Wake Forest Team Total Over 52.5 (3:30pm ET) Yes, that is a massive number. But this is a huge step up in class for Merrimack, who has already given up over 40 points to the likes of Delaware, Tarleton State, and Yale. Meanwhile, the Demon Deacons offense has been rolling. They've put up 38 points or more in all but two games this season, and most recently won 51-7 at home against Virginia. This is ridiculous mismatch and I wouldn't be surprised to see Wake Forest up 42-0 by half-time.

Boise State at Colorado State: Boise State Team Total Over 41.5 (6pm ET) I am buying a point here to get this number under 42. I would prefer taking the Boise State team total at home. However, I also like fading this awful Colorado State defense any chance I get. The Rams have given up an average of over 50 points to opponents in their last six games. 50!!! Only one of those was against a ranked opponent. Expect the Broncos to find the endzone early and often.

Georgia at Ole Miss: Game Total Over 55.5 (7:30pm ET) Here, we get two explosive offenses in what should be a pretty entertaining SEC battle. I considered taking Georgia here as a small favorite and also their reasonable team total (sitting at 30.5), but I like the game total a little better. Both teams can score and I think they will, even though UGA has one of the best defenses in the country. Ole Miss has put up at least 31 points in all of their home games so far, and their home crowd will be really into it tonight, hosting the #2 team in the country.

Bonus Moneyline Parlay: Odds at +125 BYU at Utah: Utah ML, -182 (12pm ET) Alabama at LSU: LSU ML, -220 (3:30pm ET)

• I am playing this one a little more cautiously, as I like getting plus money with just the two official picks this week. However, if you are inclined to add a third pick for juicier odds, I also like Baylor ML and Georgia ML. Adding just Baylor ML brings you to +185. Adding just Georgia ML brings to you +257.

Bonus Lean: Texas at Missouri: Under 43.5 (12pm ET) I think both top 10 defenses hold the edge in this one. And sometimes those 12pm games get off to a slower start. I'd like this better at under 45.5, but a final in the range of 24-17 or 23-20 seems very possible. Still, the low number scared me away from making this an official play.
