Thursday College Football Pick: Week 10

Welcome back everybody!

I will be posting additional college football picks for the 11/07 games by Saturday morning as usual. But for only the second time this season, we are going with a Thursday night play! Last time we gave out a Thursday night total, it nearly sailed over the number by half-time! While I expect this one to take a little bit longer, I do like it for a few reasons.

UTSA at Florida Atlantic: Over 72.5 (7:30pm ET)

The FAU defense is, in a word, awful. The Owls have given up 56, 49, and 48 points to opponents over their last three games. We have to go back to late September to find an FAU game that didn't clear 73 total points. UTSA should score into the mid-high 40s with relative ease in this one. The Roadrunners, at 7-1, have had a strong season, but I would not credit their up-and-down defense as the primary reason why. FAU can put up points and should find the endzone often enough to get us over. On a clear and comfortable night in Boca Raton, with expected temperatures in the high 70s, I expect offense to rule.
